The Pulsar Wildlife Ventex XT50 LRF is the absolute top of the Pulsar Wildlife range. Experience thermal imaging excellence with the Ventex XT50—the pinnacle of binocular thermal technology. Its revolutionary 1280×1024 HD thermal sensor with 12µm resolution and exceptional <20mK sNETD performance, combined with a powerful 50mm f/1.0 objective lens and lossless pixel transfer, delivers image clarity that must be seen to be believed. Detect heat signatures reliably to 2300 metres with minimal compression loss and exceptional noise performance. The 2.0-16.0x magnification range maintains stunning detail throughout, enabling close inspection without sacrificing clarity. The unmatched 17.5° field of view—wider than any competing thermal binoculars—dramatically expands your observation envelope, reducing search time and enhancing situational awareness. This exceptional FOV results from the unrivalled synergy of HD sensor and powerful objective lens. Integrated image stabilisation—a Pulsar first—eliminates camera shake and motion blur, enabling confident tracking of fast-moving subjects. Your videos remain crystal-clear, even during dynamic field work. The extended-range precision laser rangefinder provides distance measurements to 1500 metres (±1m accuracy) in single-step or continuous scanning modes, enabling safe distance management and informed movement planning. Dual 1280×960 HD AMOLED displays render thermal detail with exceptional clarity whilst minimising eye fatigue during marathon observation sessions. The ergonomic magnesium alloy construction feels naturally familiar in your hands whilst delivering robust durability against field impacts, abrasion, and environmental challenges. IPX7 waterproofing ensures reliable operation in adverse weather and water immersion. Operating temperature range spans -25°C to +50°C. The advanced dual-battery system combines an internal rechargeable Li-Ion battery with a removable APS3 battery, delivering up to 8 hours of continuous operation. Nine colour palettes optimise thermal rendering for detection, recognition, or extended night observation. Capture every moment with integrated video recording and audio, enhanced by image stabilisation, storing content to 64GB onboard memory or cloud storage. Control everything wirelessly via the Wild Vision app with real-time adjustments and automatic firmware updates.

Pulsar Wildlife Thermal Monoculars & Binos
Why a Wildlife specific Thermal?

Conventional thermal monoculars and thermal binoculars like standard Pulsar thermals and all the Chinese thermals available in Australia are optimised, correctly so, for night use. The Pulsar Wildlife series also has the ability to be used at times like dusk and dawn with far better results, due to a better capability to deal with warm backgrounds. For example, looking across a bush setting with setting daylight in the background. Get much more use out of your thermal and better results. That said, no thermal can look up at a eucalypt in the bright midday sun and detect koalas. The sun is so much hotter. No one gets sunburnt or heatstroke from holding a koala, but thousands do from the sun even though it is 150 million kilometres away!

Pulsar Wildlife thermal monoculars and thermal binoculars have a palette designed for long term observation or surveying which is easier on the eye when used for long periods.

There is also a considerable difference between looking for something like a Dunnart or Fairy Wren and looking for a feral pest species or human - also the distances most are observed at. Pulsar Wildlife firmware is optimised to take these size and distance differences in to account , with further firmware updates planned. This firmware is Wildlife specific models only.

Made In Europe

The Pulsar Wildlife Thermal monocular and binocular series is Made in Europe. This brings a requirement for longevity of the product, serviceability, recycle-ability and availability of spare parts over the service life. There is a very comprehensive range of spares and very well equipped service facility available in Australia.

Pulsar was the first company to sell thermal monoculars to civilians 15 years ago. Wolf Eyes has been continuously supplying Pulsar Thermal Monoculars in Australia since the beginning and still have some (though not all) of the spares for those first units in our office, with more available from Pulsar. It is rare to get that level of backup on any electronic product, little alone a 15 year old one.

Pulsar also believes in regularly updating the firmware on their products (similar to a mobile phone or computer) so the thermal monocular or thermal binoculars you purchase today will be more capable in the coming years.

Nine Colour Palettes

Nine colour palettes enable effective observation of the field of view, each of which allow the user to optimise the device for specific scenarios and adapt to changing conditions.

  • White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are perfect for object detection

  • Rainbow and Ultramarine will increase recognition and identification capabilities

  • Sepia, Red Monochrome, and Violet are best for long, night-time observation.

  • Green for more comfortable viewing with reduced eye strain.
Wild Vision App

Connect your monocular or binos to the NEW Wild Vision app from Pulsar Wildlife via an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet and discover a wide range of connectivity features, including:

  • The ability to use your mobile phone or tablet as a wireless remote to control and adjust the device’s settings, with all the changes made on your device’s screen visible in real-time. This feature also allows for remote recording of footage or capturing of still images.
  • A gallery of photos and videos captured on the device that can be browsed through and downloaded. These videos and images can also be shared easily.
  • The ability to remotely update the device’s firmware, meaning users can enjoy all the latest features and ensure your Pulsar is always running to the best of its ability.
Built-in Video & Still Image Recording

The built-in still image and video recording capability allows you to catch those amazing moments when observing and watching. It is also invaluable for those doing wildlife surveys, enabling a much more accurate count when reviewed later on a big screen. Or just observing later on the big screen! It is just one press to start videoing or to capture a once in a lifetime image.

The internal memory is generous allowing thousands of images or hours of video to be stored on the monocular or binoculars.

Durable, tough & water resistant

All Pulsar Wildlife Thermal Monoculars & Thermal Binoculars are built of extremely durable materials, operate from – 25 to + 50 C and are water resistant. The perfect companion in the wild!

This durability applies to all Pulsar Wildlife thermal models, from the Alaris XQ30, Alaris XG30, Orni XG35 LRF, Lumion XL50, Ventex XP35 LRF up to the Ventex XT50 LRF.
